Help! I’ve never been before?
Below are some of the most common questions we are asked at Om Yoga Australia. If you can’t find what you are looking for you can always email us with your specific questions, drop into one of our studios or give us a call.
What areas are close to your yoga studio?
Typically people in the areas of South Yarra, Toorak, Prahran Hawthorn and even Richmond and surrounds would find it easiest to make the classes in our South Yarra yoga studio.

Yoga is a movement of poses called asanas that are linked through breath. The aim of yoga is to find a place of mindfulness and relaxation.
Men wear shorts and t-shirt based on your preference. Women tend to wear capri shorts and a sports top. We have changing rooms, toilets and showers. We hire mats ($2) and towels ($3) if you don’t want to bring your own. Our mats are washed and dried after each use. You can bring your own water or drink but we do sell large 500ml waters for $2 in addition. We also sell drinks such as coconut water and energy bars.
Total mind and body workout, helps sporting and other injuries, increases flexibility and strength, boosts energy, relieves tension and helps combat stress.
We run a number of different classes and recommend you buy the intro offer and try each out!
YES YOU ARE! Yoga is for everyone at every level and all classes are open to all levels. We also have a beginner’s class that runs for people that would prefer to start slow.
To book your first class you have two options. You can simply arrive at our studios 20 minutes before the start of the session and buy the intro offer (remember to bring your ID and arrive early to guarantee a space). Or you can register and buy online by clicking “BOOK NOW” under the classes tab. Once you have made yourself a login you will be able to buy and reserve sessions.
You don’t need to be flexible – that’s one of the many things yoga will help to improve.
